Wild Cat is celebrating 10 years in business
Whenever I get a chance, I like to stop into Wild Cat On A Wing whether I need to find a special gift for myself
or someone else, or not. Stepping into David and Julie Boone's Craft Gallery is a great way to while away some time
just for the pure pleasure of looking upon beautifully handcrafted works of art.
Artists themselves, the Boone's
decided that opening their own gallery would be a good outlet for their own art as well as providing a venue for artists from
all across the US and over the years they have built a business in Ball Ground Georgia that not only features works from
all corners and crossroads of America- they have buyers that come from all over the country specifically to make purchases
from the Wild Cat Collection. They also have a following of upscale interior designers who challenge the Boone's
to keep the inventory levels from looking sparse
The Boone's take buying trips several times a year, searching
for some of the most unique and masterfully crafted pieces for display in the gallery. Buying American from the best
is a point of pride for them and seems to be a viable business model as they continue to thrive.
In this shop,
you will find a little bit of everything. Handblown glass, many variations of pottery techniques, handcrafted limited edition
silk lampshades, Amish willow wood furniture.......
Obviously, the best way to experience art is to actually see
and feel it. A trip up 575 to Ball Ground is well worth the drive. If you have never been to Wild Cat On A Wing, do yourself
a favor and make it a destination. If you haven't stopped in for awhile, go on back. Julie and David are still the
same talkative friendly people they have always been and are glad to talk with you about their art pieces or just about anything
else under the sun.
